We're hiring: Mechanic
Join the technical team that keeps Costa Rica running. You will work with industrial generators, engines and electrical systems, backed by 24/7 support and 40 years of experience.
About the role
We are looking for a technical, organized and committed person, with the judgment to diagnose and solve in the field. The day-to-day combines preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of generators and their systems.
Responsibilities
- Daily inspections to keep equipment running correctly.
- Diagnosis, location and repair of faults: fuel, electrical, mechanical, lubrication and cooling systems.
- Inspection of pulleys, belts, tensioners, bearings, guide rollers, hoses and electrical connections.
- Engine and radiator washing.
- Predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Oil and filter changes, and battery inspection.
- Inspection and replacement of coolant fluids.
- Hour-meter control and parts requests.
- Electrical system maintenance (harness washing, inspection and repair).
- Inspection, diagnosis and replacement of 12V and 24V alternators and starters.
- Stanford and Leroy Somer generators: 440V alternator cleaning, insulation testing and electrical system repair.
- Inspection, lubrication and replacement of bearings.
Requirements
- Preferably a mechanic.
- B1 driver license.
- 24/7 availability.
- High school diploma.
- Technical degree (mechanical or electrical).
- Clean criminal record certificate.
- Experience in similar roles.
